I had been doing really well after wrapping up Cog Dissonance's course and had around a 50% ROI on the $11.50 HUSNG's on Stars. (At one point I had won 13 of 14 tournaments.) 

Needless to say I thought I was prime to step up to some higher levels and give them a try.  My ROI dropped to around 30% on the $23 dollar games over a small sampling size but I continued to work under the assumption that the mid-stakes games are all pretty much the same and continued to climb... 

The players at the stakes are all pretty similar maybe a little better at each step as the stakes increase, however I noticed that my play was nowhere near the same.  I became much tighter and was too concerned with losing the larger buy-in to concentrate properly on determine playing style of my opponent.

Just finished up my last session of Cog Dissonance's course and it was very rewarding.  We went through about 5 or 6 different hand histories of different player types from the last week or two and picked apart my decisions.  After all was said and done there were several leaks discovered that needed to be closed.  Looking at my notes from the session Paul pointed out 5 serious leaks and another 3-4 minor leaks which were very situaltional that will need to be worked on.

After all is said and done the course was great and I look forward to working with Paul more in the future.

On a side note I jumped on the tables following our session and played a few games before typing this up and calling it a night and won both matches.  So 2 for 2 after closing the leaks.

First post here so let's start with a little background.

I have been playing poker online on PokerStars and FullTilt for a couple of years now and just recently decided to try and develop my poker skills to where they can provide a valid source of income as opposed to being purely recreational.

Historically I am basically a break-even player and may be down a couple hundred dollars for the entire time I have played online.

To improve my skillset I have recently begun Cog Dissonance's course and have had Rypac13 do a HH review.  Both have helped quite a bit and I have my final session with Cog Dissonance tonight.  After completion of the course I plan on joining Mersenneary's training program once it opens back up and utilizing Rypac13, ITRIED2WARNU, and Fydor_8 for leakfinders, video reviews, and sweat sessions.
