ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS

I haven't been updating this quite as often as I probably should be but with so much going on and the volume I am trying to put in it isn't really practicle.
I have been having an amazing month so far, I am up like 6.5k so far which is ok but really need to be putting more volume in in HU, I have had some really good HU sessions lately and one bad one. I have been playing mainly non turbo ones but when I tried to play some turbo HU to increase volume I downswinged like 1k so I think I will be sticking to the slow blinds still, I want to start playing 2 tables but I feel like when I do this I am still playing optimal poker but I get very tired quick and want the session to end asap, what I have found working is when I sit on another HU after a couple of blind levels and they overlap a bit seems to be the easiest way of me putting in more games.
Mtts are still going pretty terrible for some reason, I keep running deep and then having some cooler or bad beat but thats Mtts for you, will be worth it when I get the big score :-).

COMING 3-4th in HU GUARANTE 2 SCOTT FISCHMAN SUCKS

I took a random shot at a 200 HU guarante and o my did I love it, I made it to 3rd-4th I did suck out once but was 10bb shuv and had 3 outs so it is allowed. I really loved the way I played, I had one really hard spot against a loosing player when I had 88 blinds at 15/30, I 3 bet his raise n he 4bet me to 550, I took a long time but in the end jammed and was up against ak, this isn't something I would do against a winning player and is not at all standard but just one of those things you have to toss a coin in ur head and go with your decision, anyways he had ak and I heald up.
Then I played Scott Fishcman, MY GOD IS HE TUFF. I totally played wrong against him and diserve to loose to him, he played supurb. PROPS TO HIM. he re raised at least 40% of hands and really put me in a shitty spot, I was supertilted against him after making a hero call on kk238board with a5 for around 400 chips and ended up reshiping q10suited  for 13bbs and he called with a7.

December goals and November achievements

well I didnt quite play as much HU as I intended to last month due to alot going on but I did put in the most volume in a month since I started Uni and am feeling very confident in my game. In the month I have gone from grinding out the $50 limits as a $5 average profit and 9% roi to having a $7 average profit and 13% roi at the 50s and I have now moved up to the 80-100 dolla games and playing them at around $10 average profit and 11% roi giving me a little sharky badge on sharkscope :-) for these limits, although only 200game sample. I managed to make $5,272 in 534games playing HU but due to playing MTTS and a few SNGS my month total was taking down to $4091 this is totally fine as I entered the sunday brawl and a couple of other MTTS which were far fetched.

UPSWINGS ARE AMAZING

so guys you heard me bitch about downswinging so heres the counter. THE UPSWING.
No one can explain downswings and upswings apart from the aspect which is bad play and good play but when it comes to really winning massively in a row and loosing massively in a row how much difference is there in your play. In HU poker the edge is so small to the hero that if the hero is having an of day then his bad play or his miss reads can cost him alot of money which may explain more about why people do downswing. I read a section in the book 'the poker mindset' about downswings and upswings and it says you cannot predict these things, you don't know when (or if) they will ever end which is so true. Sometimes I am having a winning day and think to myself maybe I should quit because I am up alot and don't want to ruin that when really this is silly thinking, I should keep playing because if I am playing/thinking/running well and am in the zone then isn't that better than waking up and starting a fresh the next day when yes you will still be playing good poker but will it be as good as the day before when you were really in the zone.
