August - October

The plan was to update regularly these last months explaining how much I'd been crushing, but unfortunately it hasn't been that way and I ain't had much inspiration for blogging. So a little round up of last 3 months here:

August was so awesome, traveling around Europe to very cool places and meeting up with poker and non-poker friends. It was so good that I was extremely annoyed to come back to university in september. Damn, if I hadn't jumped around so much these last few years and I'd focused on uni I could be done now and traveling the world all year long. Then again these years wouldn't have been so much fun.

So I've mostly stayed in Madrid the last 2 months, studying hard in poker and industrial engineering alike, playing, and as always missing more than my due of classes, but oh well staying on track. Only major adventure has been another road trip to Cannes last week for the WSOPE with my friend Foucault, which has been a ton of fun, if not profitable.

July Report part 2

Part 2 of my month in which I had a lot of fun in Germany and ran really bad right after losing the FTP money. This one is mostly gonna be me rambling about mental stuff, and gonna be long I expect, so stop reading if u don't care about that :) Cliffs: buy Jared Tendler's book. Use running bad times to improve.

July Report Part 1

Hey everyone,

Just closed a month that was very tough and frustrating on one side but also fun and interesting at the same time, and thought I'd write a blog post about it.

June ended really well for me, I made 20K on the month, and that was right after a 15K may - can't go past this point without mentioning Mersenneary who was huge in helping me get there, love u mers :) -I had been mantaining a 4,5% roi at the 200$ supers during a good sample, was feeling great and about to move up to the 350s... and then came the FTP shutdown.

I want to make the omg-so-unlucky-fml part short cause I don't wanna turn this into a bad beat story. Plus, some people have had it better, some a lot worse, so it wouldn't be a particularly good story. Have to explain the "tough month" part tho:

2011 first 2 months

Hey everyone!

Haven't posted in a long time. I do want to make something out of this blog though, so not being too ambitious I'll try to update at least once a month with results, and then maybe some random posts if I feel like it.

So 3 months ago I had a bunch of +-20BI swingfests and just got a bit tired and dissapointed on the game. I took a little break for uni exams, and got back to playing on mid January. Been playing the superturbos on FTP for the last month, currently playing 50s and 100s, and also mixing in some 88 turbos ocassionally.

The best thing I can update about is that I think I've really learned a ton about what having a professional attitude means. I'm more disciplined, have more grinding patience, don't let swings affect me so much, and I'm generally happier about the game, whatever the results are. I also feel like I'm playing fairly well, but I'm super motivated about learning more and continuing to improve.

First blog entry

Hi all!

This is my first blog entry, so just a little intro stuff:

Personal: I'm 23 years old, and currently studying industrial engineering. I used to be a semi-proffesional alpine skier (Spanish national team, which sounds better than it is, since we suck at skiing really). I dropped out of university to start a business related to skiing, which I ran for 2 years and then sold for some decent profit (it went very well but wasn't any goldmine, and was incredibly time/energy-consuming), and I'm back studying since a year ago. Some things I enjoy: Almost every sport, partying hard, planning all kinds of different businesses, and being with my friends and girlfriend.
