Going into Lockdown

Hey Guys!

It's been a while since I got around to blogging, mostly due to the fact that I just haven't had time. Things just haven't gone well for me in poker this year so it has really dawned on me how much effort I need to be putting into my game and also making up for some lost volume. I feel as though I have really failed as a blogger given all of the work I have started and not completed, but at this point in time my blog being up to date is the least of my worries. So let's jump to right now.

April is going to be a huge month for me. It is the start of a period that I don't intend on doing any traveling at all, therefore I will be focusing entirely on improving as a player and grinding like a bitch. I have already started to find some rhythm in terms of grinding/studying over the past week or so, now it is just a matter of maintaining it. My goal for the month is to play 1000 MTT's which is something that I haven't done before.

Seoul (Warning - TL;DR)

As a lot of you guys that regularly read my blog are probably aware, I was really looking forward to this trip to Seoul. Not only for another leg of season 5 of the APPT but also to learn a little about the country I was born in and get some cultural experience. In regards to the actual tournament, it was another fail for me. I have done some detailed hand analysis from the tournament that you can read here. This blog is going to be more about my feelings on Seoul and the happenings of the trip.

FU February

UGH, UGH, UGH! $%&#%$%#&^*$@

^ How I feel right now... February was my worst month ever I think. I haven't really looked how it compares to WCOOP last year but it's going to be really close either way. I guess the main difference is that I feel I am a significantly better player now than I was then.

It's funny because I am so motivated right now to be on the grind. It's almost consumed me in the sense that every day I want to get up and grind my arse off for a long session. I feel so great about my game and how it has developed over the past month, yet my results are the worst they have ever been. For those reasons I am taking 3 days off from the grind. I guess there is always some element that you are ignorant to when you are downswinging and perhaps I just need to freshen up a little and get some clear perspective.

Another Brief Update

Hey Guys!

Again, I am just going to do a very brief update of the current happenings instead of backdating to the Aussie Millions (which I still intend to do). The have had a couple people request the main event blog to me and it is about halfway done. I intended to work on it today since I had some free time but I can't open the file . I just had my computer upgraded a couple of days ago; I had a new 120GB SSD put in (up to 180Gb), upgraded to 12GB RAM, and a new video card added so that I can run a 3rd monitor, and consequently I need to work out how to access some files on the previous main HD. I'm a complete and utter computer noob so hopefully I will be able to get that sorted early next week.

A quick Update

This is only going to be a very short entry, something I feel I am never doing these days. Usually I find myself with so much to say that I end up mashing the keyboard for 90 minutes and you guys end up with sore eyes after reading mjw's newest thesis.

So anyway....

Poker has been quite a nasty endeavor for me of late. Besides the fact that I have had other things going on that have prevented me from grinding as much volume as I would like, when I have been grinding I just have not put up very good results. With that said, I am so motivated to be grinding right now and feel amazing about the way I am currently playing.
