I played around 4 hours today of poker, played really good and i believe that was due to watching some good videos from here by mjw006 and think its helped me alot today. I was still didnt make many buyins but it was a good day in general anyways. 

Playing poker today was like playing that game i played as a kid called frustration. It was rubish and frustrating. Even though im running bad im also playing bad and i feel that im forgetting about everything that i have learnt from watching the videos and im just playing cards. This is prompting me to go back and watch some videos again tonight and try and see where im going wrong.

Today I went back from my home in Manchester to Chester which is where i live when I’m at uni. I obviously had a want to play poker when I got here so hit the tables right away. First two games went great, winning them both but then after is became one of those days that everyone knows and loves and you just can’t win a hand. I ended up playing for about four hours with a loss of $8 or so. I ran bad and that’s fair enough, I realise that it’s something that I’ll get used to very quickly and it will happen a lot. 

I decided that i would do a blog as to keep both myself motivated and also keep track of my results. I’ve thought about it on numerous occasions but never did it. 

Firstly i would like to say I’m not a pro, not even close. I am playing the micros but strive to be good at headsup poker. After previously playing around 2000 husngs on ipoker with limited success I’ve decided to use the little money i have on pokerstars and play husngs, putting as much time in as possible(which is a lot as a student) and become as good of a player as i can be.
