Done for February

"Goals for February:

[LOLFAIL, 723 lousy games] 1,2k games

[ALMOST, I'll give it to my professor March 5th] Finish up the bachelor thesis

[X] Get a bank account for poker funds, it's retarded to keep >90% of your net worth online FFS

[X/2] Be happy"

So yeah, month started out terrible. After winning 1,5k in a day I quickly lost over 5k. Second half of the month was pure heater time and finished up +10k. Obviously martingaled last games to get 5-figs .

Last week I had two big exams, so I played only few games. Anyway, I have almost no school on March, so it will be perfect time for some serious grinding.

I have decided to challenge myself and put up a volume goal with $$$ penalties: At the moment I have played  1572 games in 2012. I'll have to reach 3000 games by the end of March. I will be donating $1 per missing game to charity.

January

Hi guys!

January has come to its end and it's time for the update. Overall January was a fine start for the year. I ended up winning 11,3k including rakeback. I definitely did run quite good tho. Unfortunately HEM doesnt support €-tourneys, so I'm not sure how good exactly did I run. I'm 9 buy-ins above EV, but I'm also down a bit @ 350s (biggest level I play ATM), so probably been running under EV on those.

I played 849 games on January which is a bit dissapointing, since my goal was 1,5k. However I'm quite happy that I've been able to quit playing when feeling tired and playing badly. For example I was planning on grinding a ton today so I could reach 900-1k games for the month, but I found myself playing badly and making really stupid calls on certain spots so I decided to take a break for the rest of the day.

Some random notes to remember on February:

It's been a while...

Whats up guys?

$30-fish has somehow managed to transform into midstakes-fish. 2011 was a decent year for me in poker, but I’m definitely unsatisfied. That’s why I’ve decided to challenge myself publicly and therefore will be posting my daily/weekly/montly results. I’m probably going to copy-paste entries from my 2+2 thread to this blog (I’m lazy as **** so I can’t promise anything lol).

I’ll try to post updates weekly (hopefully) or montly (most likely), but I’m also going to tweet after every grinding day.

Week 2: Tired but not happy

Hi guys, this week wasn't the easiest week for sure. I played mostly 33's with no profit. Lots of bad plays and lots of frustration. I only played 180 tourneys (+ few 4m and ST's), but decided to take Sunday off. Perhaps the most interesting part of the week was 47 tourny battle against some lagtard. Lost couple of buy-ins for him, but it was fun and I'm sure that I had edge on him.

A though on poker. I have played something like 2000 HUSNG's. And I have played them for fun. But still I'm so frustrated on ending my week couple buy-ins down. It is so disappointing. I can nothing but truly admire you guys who play these for living. My hat is off to You.

EDIT: Well played couple games more, so this was exactly break even week for me.

Intro

Hi guys

I’m 22 years-old guy called Jussi from Finland. I’m jayn on 2+2.  I’m a full time student and studying economics as major and doing some statistics and accounting stuff on the side. I have been playing poker randomly for couple years now, but started playing HUSNGs somewhat seriously couple months ago. At the moment I’m playing $20’s - $50’s.

I hope that this blog will motivate and encourage me to take poker more seriously and especially boost up my volume of playing. During the summer I played only like a thousand tourneys which is just pathetic.
