What a Day

I am writing this after "binging" (there's no other word for it) on poker for the better part of the last seven days.  I am naturally a procratinator, so I left myself with 6,500 vpp's (~$1,300 in rake paid) to make today in order to maintain supernova elite.  I knew there was only one way to do this: PLAY HYPERS.  I have dabbled here and there in the past but have a meaningless sample size in them.  I talked to Rypac and he mentioned there is a ton of good material on husng.com regarding hypers.  I downloaded a lot of video's but I regret to say I watched any.  This sounds completely absurd to me now that im writing it considering what I just accomplished.  I started playing almost exactly 15 hours ago so this will be somewhat brief. I'm not sure if I know how to play them now, but I definitely ran SUPER hot today maintaining a 10% ROI over about 465 games the entire day.

Challenge

A lot has been going on recently, I just found a new place to live for the month of August which is even closer to the beach so I'm pretty happy about that.  I'm really looking forward to moving into a different area with new faces and new establishments.  Poker has been a bitch recently, I have been getting crushed at husng's but have been doing well at razz....go figure.  I realized a lot to do with my (non) Ali-like return to online poker ring had to do with pokerstars morphing into full tilt poker overnight with their new blind structures, adding hypers, etc.

Back on Pokerstars!

About 48 hours ago, the temporary ban was lifted from my pokerstars account after they verified all my documents comfirming my move to Barcelona!!!  I am so excited right now I can't even put it into words.  I've played a few husng's (not my normal volume) but a lot of razz and it's been a blast so far.  I will dive deeper into husng's once I have a proper set up, until then I am just on my laptop.

On another note, a friend told me earlier today that FTP was down...I was too oblivious to notice.  Sorry to those of you out there that had/have money on there...I am not sure about the state of things, but it doesn't look good.  It makes you wonder how long stars will be around for......

Anyways, going to keep this one short.  As always thanks for reading and good luck to all the players out there.  Take it easy!

A Step in the Right Direction

I realized that my writing style is not conducive for making short blog posts.  I will continue writing about my experiences in Madrid some other time....

Madrid/EPT Final/Chaos

When I touched down in Madrid I made my way over to the Westin and started unpacking.  I was playing day 1B of the event, so I left myself about 2-3 days to get acclimated with the time difference and so forth.  The casino in Madrid where the tournament was being held was a 20-30 minute shuttle ride from the hotel, which was a bit of an inconvience, but turned out to be well worth it.  After biding my time for a few days and mingling with poker players I have never met face to face, yet had talked to for countless hours online about poker/life/music, etc; I was pumped for the tournament to start.  On the shuttle on the way to the casino on day 1B, I noticed Vicky Coren and Neil Channing sitting next to each other adjacent to me.  I've played Vicky in about 30 heads up sng's on pokerstars and she came off as a very friendly lady.
