Transition

This week went fairly well in the $6.50 turbos on stars.  Think I got in around 115 games for a 14% ROI.   Considering I'm still fairly new to the heads up scene I'm pretty satisfied with my results.  I probably would have been around 15-20% ROI if I didn't have one bad day where I tilted away a bunch of games.

I've started talking with Brilliant27 and have been working with him on my game.  Now my plan is to play regular speed games and see how well I can adapt to his style of play.  I'm finding some big leaks I've had overvaluing hands in particular situations and learning to be more patient.

Well that's it for this week.  Might consider making a trip to AC during the week at some point.  I live about a 2 hour drive away fortunately.  I'm off from work all week so I plan to get some decent volume in the regular speed $10 games on ps.  Once I'm comfortable with this new style I'll be moving up to the $20.  Hope everyone runs well at the tables!

A Little About Me

Hi everyone! I'm from Lewisburg, PA. Have been playing poker for a little over a year now. Most of my experience is with 9 man sngs (turbo and regular speed). After almost a year of playing 9 mans I started to grow tired of playing ABC poker on autopilot.

The weakest part of my game has always been post flop play. I really think this hurt my stt results because I played too nitty postflop. ICM and push/fold are definitely the stronger aspect of my game. I wanted to find a game that would target my weakness and allow me to possibly develop it into one of my strengths.

I've found that after playing a few hundred hu sngs that I really enjoy the format. There is so much more thinking involved than the 9 mans which are essentially a mathematical puzzle. After this realization I decided to commit myself to playing hu sngs. I may dabble in 9 mans here and there but hu sngs are going to become my primary focus. I'm hooked!
