8/19/09 HU SNG session

Last nights session went well. I went 5 for 8 in $50 HUSNG playing two different players. One was a regular which I feel I have an edge on. We played two games and split them. I would have kept playing him however I had to step away for a bit (Son woke up), even though I felt he was tilting.

The next six games where with an unknown LAG with negative stats. This is the type of player I typically have a hard time with since I can’t ever get a good read on them and my logic goes out the window. However I was determined not to tilt, follow some pot control principles and take full advantage of position while value betting him to a fetal position. We split the first 4 games, and I took the last two.

El Patron 222 - Blog Introduction

I was originally planning on starting my blog this past Thursday after and incredible string of good sessions at the HU $50 on fulltilt, however….. I got lazy and put it off till the next day. Unfortunately the next day was the start of an incredible string of bad sessions, lol. So I put it off until I got out of that mess and in a better mood, which is today.

I would love to say that my string of bad session was due to me getting unlucky, but I feel that I was getting out played and I was getting more of my share of suck-outs in my favor (I did capitalize on the suck-outs, which I do give credit to my self). Anyways today is today.

I’m not going to go into too much about my background since I’m sure no one really cares. I have been playing cash games for a bit with mediocre results mostly due to tilt control. For some reason I tilt very easily on cash games but I don’t have the same problem at all in sit-in-go’s , go figure?!? I have always done well with HU sit-n-gos but never tried it for long periods of time until now.
