Poker ambitions 2011

I thought I would give a quick update on my poker endeavours of 2010, and look to what poker has in store for me in 2011, now that year end draws closer.

I have been dedicated solely to hu sngs for now 6 months.

Result wise it has been quite bad for me. I think i played around 3500 hu sngs now (across many different sites and structures and buy in levels) and have a total roi of -1 or -2%. However when i look at AIEV I am at 0% roi. So I think its fairly save to conclude that I am a break-even/losing player by now.

The last couple of weeks I have realized that I have played way to many games instead of spending my time watching videos, discussing hands, reviewing my game etc.

So september was a good month overall actually - just not result wise. I think I ended down 20 bucks due to shot taking at the 10.50 + 20.50 at PS. I started september out by playing a around 250 games at the 5.25s and had an roi of aroun 15% and then i had a massive negative roi % at 10.50 and a few of the 21s i played.

I did tilt alot of times in september but definetely less than im used to, so in that sense im glad.

September update

Thought I just give a quick September update.

So my bankroll is 550, and I have been playing the 5.25 + 10.50 regulars + 6.25 turbors at Pokerstars starting this month. So far I have played around 100 games with an roi of 9%. Up until yesterday my roi was actually 12% but then i tilted for the first time in September yesterday. Im not quite sure what caused it but a couple of factors could be:

-had a fight with my girlfriend a couple of hours before playing

-didnt verbalize my thought process when playing through the hands, so autopiloted in the beginning of the session

-didnt do a proper warmup before session (watching videos and getting in the right frame of mind)

First blog entry - a mind game

Hello everybody,

This is my first blog entry. The intention is to keep this a regularly updated blog about my evolvement as a heads up sit and go specialist.

My poker story so far:

First time i played poker was back in high school when i was around 16 years old, I played with friends when there was spare time but I didn't really play much and I didn't really understand the game or found it very interesting... this was back around year 2000. Fast forward 7 years when I out of boredom as far as I can remember deposited my first online poker deposit. I was now more excited about poker and I started out playing NLH cash games 6 and 10 handed and also played around with 6 man sit n goes. I played around 10 hours a month and was a marginal loser, although i didn't track my results.
