This year has been so swingy.   I was +40k 15 days in, then only +15k, then +30k. then a huge downer where I found myself only up about 5k on the year :(  I've decided that I need to hit the reset button in a sense and start over.  I've decided to start grinding $110s and plan on staying there until I win 40 buyins.  This could take a few weeks, I really don't know.  I haven't grinded these games steadily in a long time.  So far it's been fun though knowing I'm clearly making money every time I'm playing and never feeling that 'i got owned' feeling when playing a tough higher stake player. 

So this weekend was a pretty fun time.  Friday night my girlfriend and a few of my good friends went to a comedy club downtown and to a bar afterwords and got pretty drunk.  The night was capped off with some taco bell obviously too.  Saturday I went out to dinner with a bunch of my buddies and we started playing random gambling games for their nitty stakes but still got a few $50 pots in a game called Left-Right-Middle which I suggest to anyone to play with their friends.  Ton of fun and I ended up winning about $150 which was about 70% of the money in play, running like a champ this year what can I say?  Tonight I went to dinner and got some drinks with my gf after having a buddy come over and watch the NFL games earlier.

Really excited about poker again for the first time in probably 2 years.  I am so motivated to finish high on the leaderboards, put in the volume, and really go for my best year this year.  I dont care about games getting tougher, if I stay sharp and focused I'll meet my goals.  Im on pace for a record month (hopefully not a jinx cuz its so early) and am up over $21k plus rakeback and well ahead of VPP pace for elite.  Im really excited.  Tonight I played my first session higher then 550 too so most of the profit has been grinding 330/550s. 

Really focusing hard on making 2011 my best year of my career.  Ive set some goals and here they are:

-300k profit before rakeback

-supernova elite (1 million vpps)

-run a half marathon

- gym 4 days a week

-3 vacations.

So far i've hit the ground running making $8k profit and 8k vpps so far.  Im right now the #1 pokerstars player on the leaderboard on sharkscope.  I dont expect that to last, nor is that my goal. Im not concerned with beating out other good players profits but hitting my own goals ive set.
