Barewire's blog

Hello!

It's been a while since I've posted here, so leave it to my own self interest to bring me back.

I'm playing a big MTT schedule next month and figured you all might be interested, so take a look and let me know! I'll make sure to update you guys on my WSOP plans as well when I decide on them.

Life update and a new blog

It's been a while as usual so I'll just give the cliffs of everything and maybe throw a graph up at the end. I just got approved to stay in Toronto until June 30th, so after a brief trip home for the holidays I'll be a Canadian until summer. I'm really enjoying it here, the weather isn't bad yet and I've been playing a few rec sports leagues to keep me sane and meeting people who don't play poker. That said, I can't wait to spend a few weeks in Chicago with my friends and family (and my boss :P)

Two months in Toronto, and Helping the PPA

Hey everyone!

I'm dropping in with an update from Toronto. It's been almost two months since I got back into online poker and I couldn't be happier. I can work from home again, I don't have to drive to a stinky casino, I don't have to pay $10 for beer, oh the list goes on so long. I've been playing nothing but cash games but on account of the WCOOP and the weekly Sunday HU shootout I've played my fair share of sng style matches. (Look out for a video series soon!) A lot of people have asked me how WCOOP is going and I'll just go ahead and preempt that for the entire community by saying "not well." I've lost two heads up events on the bubble round, finished 2 bracelet events within a few hundred people of the money, and cashed for a small amount just once (in the very first event). MTTs are frustrating and while I'll continue to play them I don't recommend it.

Barewire: Ending WSOP and Beginning Toronto

Hi guys,

Barewire: Discounted coaching now available!

Hey Everyone!

In light of the recent happenings in the USA and the questionable future of my poker playing time, I'm going to temporarily discount my HUSNG coaching by 50%. I'll update my coaching page as soon as possible but all prices listed for anything on my coaching page are 50% off until further notice. I also offer hu cash (and husng<-->hucash transition) coaching for $100/hr ($450/5hrs), with some additional study material (powerpoint videos) available free to those who book 5+ hour packages. My skype is krabi23 and my aim is kmr1742 if anyone wants to discuss details there.
