ACES15: Year in Review, Goals

Its been a while since I last posted but here goes...

I started on HUSNG.com roughly mid January of last year and was about -250 on sharkscope but had never really tried playing any heads up games on a consistent basis. I got a full membership and began playing $5 reg speeds on stars. Upon starting out my goal was to reach the 20/30 dollar level by the end of the year. My volume suffered drastically the last 5 months of the year due to a new job but my full year stats were as follows...

1303 Games Avg Stake $9 Avg. ROI %10 Total Profit $708.

Pretty modest numbers but considering I was a losing player I'll take it. I was able to make my goal of playing in the 20s but decided to take Cogs course which took enough of my roll to force me back down to the $10s. I'm trying to start playing turbos so starting now I'll be back down to the $6 dollar games with a roll of $330.

ACES15=June Goals

Alright just to recap...when I started playing the 5s on February 1st I made a goal of making it to the 30s by the end of the year. I'm bumping it up to the $50s for now and I'll revaluate a little further down the road.

I ended May playing my first 110 $21 reg speeds on Stars. I didn't really start out very well dropping 10 buy ins or so but I was running pretty bad and lost a few all ins that I was pretty far ahead on and pretty much every flip situation I got in. Over my last 20 games or I was able to put together some wins and now sit +2 buy in. Pretty minor but hopefully the doomswitch is off.

So moving forward for the month of June...

Play 400 games...this is a likely goal and if I'm close to 545 going into the last week I'd like to get that so I can get gold star. If I can't get gold I'll play on FT after I get silver so I can get some rakeback.

ACES15-Moving Up...Ignore My Previous Sob Blog :)

Alright so last night I posted looking for help in moving up in the limits because I encountered some variance and couldn't quite get over the hump to start playing the 20s. Well apparently bitching works because I shipped a 312 man $10 heads up bounty tournament for a little over $500 (with bounties prizepool was $470) bucks this afternoon.

So moving forward....This leaves my roll at nearly $1100 which means I can start playing the 20s. After playing some of these (with good results hopefully) I'm going to follow the advice of some other members and get a hand history or 2 looked at and maybe take Cog's course.

I feel like I should thank Radeh too because until I saw his latest blog posts I didn't even know pokerstars had these HU tournaments almost every hour. So thanks Radeh :)

I Suck at Poker

No I really do. Not that anyone that plays my stakes (10s with the occasional 20) is good in the grand scheme of things but the past month and a half has really started to make me question any progress I've made since joining this site.
