Had another solid month in September relative to the time I put in. School took up alot of time and continues to do so. Considering I have a solid 2.0 (Not showing off, and not falling behind! - George Castanza) you'd think it wouldn't take up so much time.
I've been told that about 2,000x by about 15 players recently. Redundancy FTW. Oh No's people don't like me, whatever shall I do?
Technically class started Monday, but I refuse to go for the Mon/Tues of the 1st week. Whatever. Got my standard bare minimum 12 hours.
In sick news, I won my first tourney the other day. It was a $50 6 max with ~225 players. 1st was just over $2k. So nothing special, but def a good accomplishment. HU has gone well. Just pulling steady income on few games.
My bball team won 2 b-2-b playoff games yesterday including an OT win. But then today we lost in OT on a sickkk buzzer beating 15 foot fadeaway. What can ya do?
I can't play cards anymore. Atleast not for more than 2 hours. I've had my worst 2 VPP months consecutively. I guess b/c this summer, I've been more active than other years. I guess that means I'll pick up the pace when school starts(?) Whatever, I made like 7500 in July over limited time so its all good.
Good to see the Hornets went out and got Okafor for Chandler and signed Diogu. Atleast they're not just gonna tank the season like I originally thought. The schedule gets released today. Hopefully we can get the Cavs as home game #1 like last year.
My bball team ended our 3 game skid with a win vs a top team in the league...thats just how we roll. I had 0 points and like 10 assists in the first 39 minutes. But I then went 4 of 4 from the line in the final minute to squeak out a small win.
School starts back up on the 24th so FML.

Sorry about the lack of updates. I've been very apathetic towards poker recently. I think I played less games in June than any other month this year. Considering I don't have class now, thats embarrassing. Anyways, made over 5k atleast. I'm currently out of town for a few days, but when I get back I'll try and go all out.
My basketball team lost in round 1 of the playoffs. We were the worst team in the league at 1-9 and lost to the 2nd worst team in the "play-in" game. We were up 8 with 1:30 left, but they made it rain from 3 while no one made free throws on our team. In the other league I'm currently in, which is a step down from the other league, we've added a freakish black guy whos a 3 time local slam dunk champion to the roster. I'll be throwing lobs to him all day.
Goddamn Lakers.
I dunno, don't have much to say.
Oh I read this guy Levians blog on this site. I read that he is on pace to get murdered if he doesnt pay back a stake. Since I don't like the p.o.s, I'm going to go out of my way in playing him at every opportunity so I can help him to his grave.
Ugh down like 2,500 so far this month. Guess this downswing started on May 31st so I should have known I'd be in for a fun month. I won't deny...I've had moments of awful play and game choices. I've been shitting on numerous 4 man teams just for the sake of pissing them off. I've actually done quite well by myself recently in 4 mans and actually up for the month in those (by myself atleast).
Since its fresh in my head, this dude "trujm" who I mentioned in a previous post, might be the biggest douchebag ever. Someone please explain this to me.
He initiates (instigates) every conversation. He claims he will beat my ass in the near future. And that I will regret, in his words, "fucking with him". Has told several of my 4 man partners that theyre stupid for sitting with me...
Yet he claims I'M the douchebag. Umm? When has just wanting to play cards and bad game selection become 1 in the same? So I sit with a winning player, I'm an arrogant asshole? If I sit with a losing player, does that make me a nice guy or something. I don't get these things. Someone please explain it to me.
Vegas on Thursday

Finished up just over $10k. I played far less games than I expected I would, but thats primarily been because of the NBA which has dominated many nights after 7 pm. As soon as the Finals are over I should have nothing else to do but poker 5 of 7 days a week. Yesterday was the longest I've played in awhile. Close to 60 games I guess (still lost $500 obv).
I've probably played 7 rounds of golf in the last 2 weeks, and my game is quickly improving. Especially chipping and putting. I'm still pretty terrible with 5-7 irons. My basketball team is now 0-5 with 3 40+ point losses. We're easily the worst team in the league and its gotten so far past ridiculous. We're actually moving down in leagues soon and can hopefully take some softer competition.
Totally forgot about this hand at my table I wasn't involved in. Guy limped, another dude made it 900 at 1/2. "The pro who would never shut up about his QQ losing to 88 on an 88xQx board in the 5k" guy to my right called. I folded button, both blinds called. Limper called or folded, he doesn't matter. Flop came 642 with 2 clubs. SB led for 3k with like 10k total (I think). BB tanks and says the ole "I'm getting tired, ok I'm all in" (for 4,200 or so) . Like I saider, limper folds. Raiser pondered for minutes. Then he moved all in over the top for like 8k. "The QQ guy" has every one coverd, and he tank tank tank called.
Then the funniest 2 min of live poker happened. The 3k betting sb tanked. He said "shit", in a I'm def beat here way. Dealer called the floor over to moniter the hand and make sure the stacks are correct when they go in. The floor says, "Ok what's the deal." Dealer goes "We have an allin, an allin over the top, a call, and an "Oh, shit." Floor says, "Is it on the 'oh, shit' to call then?"...
I guess in this sense, the final table is the same as cashing as it was a 58 person event. I got 6th for like $1600.
Early on I was known as the LAGGY player showing down some awkward looking open-raise hands. That led to most of these hands...
50/100. AA UTG made it 300. Older player (who I think called me a fag under his breath earlier when my 95h open raise won, whatever) flatted in pos. Just us. 4c3c2x I had Ac. I bet 450, he made it 1200. God I hate spots like this, but I peeled. Turn was a 3 and I checked/he shoved for 5500. I immediately said no way he's got the boat/quads with that over bet. It was either A5, 56, or a worse overpair. After pondering I called and he was drawing way live...with J9os.
200/400. Long break between levels since I don't remember. I opened in mp with A10os to 1050. Lady in bb who was getting aggrivated as I raised her last 3 blinds called. It came T87r. She led for 2000 and I shoved for about 10 total. She pondered and called with Q10. I held. She went on to passive-aggressively assault me for opening A10. LOL, I guess ?you? played it well?
Won't go into great detail as it has been very frustrating. In the 6 max, at 50/100 with 6500 chips, I opened the button to 300 with T7h. Semi-loose bb called. Flop 7 7 4. We got 4 bets in and he had 44. Live poker=rigged.
Whatever, the online world has been going smoothly for a change. Have had alot of hands hold over the last few days of play. Have to get my other computer back working for a bit so I can get all my months profits as well as the first 5 days of May, but I think I'm up like 4500 this month over 8-10 days of play. I'll pick up the VPP pace starting tomorrow as I'll have all sorts of free time with school done.
Heard the funniest quote ever during a game, a big time douchebag from the Wank (aka Westbank of the Miss. River, shittown) named "trujm" gave me the 'ole "why do u sit with me etcetc..." After talking shit to him non stop, he gave something along the lines of... "I've either gotten my money in ahead or with a totally justifiable hand." AKA you got your money in good or bad. Good logic, sir.
That was for you RyPac, since I had yet to talk shit about people here.
